Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Pool has never been of high interest to me.." She manages to shoot a ball in, then misses her next attempt.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Not suprising. 'Immortals' with no purpose practice and perfect little things. Elves do the same thing, and occasionally Abbis I assume. Living until the end of time is lousy, don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
*Reappears with a peppermint-smelling "poof"*
Heyheyheyheyheyheyheyheyheyheyhey! Not True! Moogles live forever, well... basically forever... and we never get bored! See? See? Don't you get it? Huh? Why aren't you answering? ... Stop looking at me like that! |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She looks at Alinos curiously. "You mean, you're stuck here until whoever's running this place decides it's over? Isn't there some way.. well.. to die?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hm.. I suppose I can be killed, though no one's been succesful yet as I know how to possess mortal bodies. I'd say only a god could trully kill me, or the apocolypse since no immortal can really survive it."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn seems to find this fascinating. "Hmm.. I wonder where the immortal go after they 'die'.."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Depends on how they lived. Unlike mortals, we (Angels) don't have the marvelous gift called grace and redemption." The last few words Alinos spoke with a bit of spite, though he restrains himself.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn nods slightly, thinking to herself. Her gaze shifts to the moogle, and she smiles slightly. "I'm sorry, were you saying something?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Huweha? Playing, Braying, Swaying...
Nope, no saying here! *Whistling* |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos shakes his head and keeps playing. "Everyone's insane around here."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn stares at Kadino, once again baffled. She leans on her poolstick, staring blankly at the moogle.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hm...maybe I did go to hell when I rebelled. Everyone certainly is mad enough. Or Wonderland, who knows?" He turns to Ayn. "You don't happen to be a cat that likes to grin, are you? ....Now I sound mad."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"If I am, it would certainly explain my skills when it comes to playing pool." She chuckles.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I'd think I'd be afraid to see you grin. I'd say that you remind me of someone else, but I think I'd regret saying it so I won't." He steps aside, his turn finished, though only three balls remain.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hmmph.. If curiosity killed the cat, then the hint-dropper was holding the rifle." She manages to shoot in two of the remaining balls before gracefully sending the 8 ball careening around the pool table.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos lets out a chuckle. "A very wise conclusion. I never said listening to me was a good idea." Alinos gives a bit of a smirk, though it's in good humor.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
The door suddenly flies open, and the hinges groan and snap under the sheer momentum of the kick. A fairly young boy, 12 or 13 at the most, enters, his back facing the others. A loud crack is heard and a flash of light erupts from his hands. Apparently this child has a rifle, and is not afraid to use it. A smirk spreads across his face and he turns around, grinning broadly at the people in the cafe. He speaks with a thick accent. "Them bastards almost got me this time, mates!"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos let's out a very loud sigh. "More lunatics, wonderful.."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
The boy doesn't seem to hear Alinos' remark, and he ambles over, still grinning. "Pool, eh?" He snatches the 8 ball and tosses it up and down. "Always thought it was a pointless game myself."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"And just who the hell are you?" Alinos was quite annoyed with the kid, and was almost ready to knock him into a wall.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
The boy laughs again. "Th'name's Streich.. And if I were you I'd watch your tongue, as m'dad don't like havin' fallen angels mistreat his only son."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos seems somewhat surpised by this. "Oh? And who is this father of yours?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Streich seems taken aback. "Ain't you ever heard of the god who was so in love with the idea of love that all he made were daughters that lead men to 'em by their singin'? Tha's my dad!"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos thinks and frowns. "Of course I've heard of Achelous. I never understood why he has power, all his daughters are nothing but black widows contributing nothing to the enviroment. I also assume he made you for some strange reason, considering you're a male." Alinos has little respect for this particular god, but another more familliar god is leaning over a couch listening.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Streich just laughs at this. "My sisters ain't all bad.. They let me shoot 'em when I'm bored.." He pumps his shotgun.
Ayn finally pipes up, obviously annoyed with the child as well. "Kid, didn't your "dad" ever tell you not to play with dangerous weapons?" Streich cocks the shotgun and aims it at Ayn. "What's it to ya, bitch?" |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos sneers slightly. "Watch your mouth, you can't do as you please here you brat."
Am lets out a chuckle. "Oh the irony of all of this is hilarious." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Oh, I can't, can I?" He fires the shotgun, causing Ayn to have to dive out of the way to avoid the bullet. "All it takes is a few shots and I've got you bastards runnin'!"
Ayn's thoroughly pissed now, and she jumps up, sword in hand. "You may be the son of some god, but that doesn't mean you don't have to have any manners!" |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos' own gun is aimed at Strietch. He isn't amused either. "Cut the ****. You don't know who you're dealing with."
Am fidgets and lies down. "The kid amuses me, but if he screws one thing up I'll send him to his dad in a matchbox. Laena caused enough problems, I don't need another kid screwing things up." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Rose is awaken from her dream-like stance by the gunfire. Scowling, she moves to a different part of the cafe and sits in a chair, pondering her last dream.
She had been walking in a forest, at night. The forest was warm, inviting. She was at peace. Following the moonlight, she came to a rose bush. "How pretty," she had thought. The rose's were white in color, but the moonlight made them an eerie silver. She reached out to pluck one of the roses, but her finger is pricked by the thorns. Rose stares at the blood dripping from her finger, and woke up. "What does it mean?" |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Y'can't kill me, I'm a kid 'til the end of time!" Streich cocks the shotgun and fires a round at Alinos.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos is knocked back and soon rises unhurt. "Hmph. Who told you that, daddy? What a spoiled brat, you don't deserve the space you take up in this existance."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Neither do you, you damn fallen angel!" Obviously not happy that Alinos did not bleed, he turns to Ayn as he reloads his shotgun.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Am leans over the couch, a bit of a mischevious grin on his face. "I wouldn't do that if I were you...la la!"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Streich arches an eyebrow, then laughs. "Whatcha gonna do about it?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Am frowns. "Are you questioning my power?"
Alinos, however, was smiling. "Piss him off kid.." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Streich snickers, and nods. "I ain't ever heard of no god that doesn't do anything but sit around with a buncha smelly mortals." An audible click is heard, he's cocked his shotgun, which is still aimed at Ayn.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Am sneers. He flicks his finger toward Streich's shotgun and it flips backward. When the barrel is in the demi-god's face, Am holds his had out like it was a gun and presses his thumb down. The shotgun fires into Streich's face and falls to the floor, exploding on impact. "Nana na na. Nana na na. Hey hey hey, goodbye!" Am snaps his fingers and Streich disappears in a flash of light. "Anyone else like to question my power?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn frowns slightly, but doesn't make her disapproval known. She was only a "smelly mortal", after all.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Wow Am, you mean you actually do things?"
"Can it or you can join the kid." Am makes a piece of cake appear and starts to eat it. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn walks over to the couch and flops down on it, glancing at the cake Am's eating. "Nngh.. I never did have a birthday cake when I was growing up."
